Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience as a Superintendent or similar role.
• Proven experience managing tilt-wall construction projects from ground up.
• Experience with warehouse, industrial, manufacturing, distribution, commercial, or large-scale shell construction.
• Strong knowledge of sitework, concrete, tilt-wall panels, structural steel, building envelope, and interior finishes.
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications; strong leadership and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate subcontractors, field personnel, site logistics, and material deliveries.

• Work closely with Project Managers, owners, architects, engineers, and inspectors.
• Review plans, specifications, RFIs, and submittals to ensure seamless project execution.
• Identify and resolve constructability issues before they impact schedule or budget.
• Mentor Assistant Superintendents and field staff.

Scott Humphrey has partnered with a well-established and highly respected General Contractor to identify an experienced Lead Superintendent with a proven background in tilt-wall and ground-up commercial construction throughout the DFW market.

What You'll Be Doing

As the Lead Superintendent, you will oversee all field operations from mobilization through closeout, ensuring projects are completed safely, efficiently, and to the highest quality standards.

Responsibilities

• Lead all field operations on tilt-wall and ground-up commercial construction projects
• Manage site development, concrete operations, tilt-wall erection, structural systems, and building turnover
• Coordinate subcontractors, field personnel, site logistics, and material deliveries
• Maintain and drive project schedules through detailed look-ahead planning
• Lead subcontractor coordination and safety meetings
• Work closely with Project Managers, owners, architects, engineers, and inspectors
• Review plans, specifications, RFIs, and submittals to ensure seamless project execution
• Identify and resolve constructability issues before they impact schedule or budget
• Monitor manpower, productivity, quality control, and safety performance
• Maintain daily reports, project documentation, and schedule updates
• Lead punch-list completion and project closeout activities
• Mentor Assistant Superintendents and field staff
• Hold subcontractors accountable for safety, quality, manpower, and production goals

Required Experience

• 5+ years of experience as a Superintendent, Senior Superintendent, Lead Superintendent, or General Superintendent
• Proven experience managing tilt-wall construction projects from the ground up
• Experience with warehouse, industrial, manufacturing, distribution, commercial, or large-scale shell construction projects
• Strong knowledge of sitework, concrete, tilt-wall panels, structural steel, building envelope, and interior finishes
• Strong understanding of scheduling, sequencing, logistics, safety, and quality control
• Ability to manage multiple trades and subcontractors simultaneously
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications
• Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
• Ability to make field decisions and keep projects progressing on schedule

Preferred Background

• Industrial, warehouse, distribution center, manufacturing, commercial, or big-box construction experience
• Experience managing projects ranging from $20M to $100M+
• Proficiency with Procore, Bluebeam, Microsoft Project, or similar construction software.
