Job summary

TYLin's Buildings team in Syracuse, NY seeks a Project Structural Engineer to contribute to structural design and analysis for diverse buildings, including historic structures. You will assist with drawings, specifications, and site investigations, coordinating with staff and clients on projects to deliver innovative, cost-effective solutions.

The role requires a civil/structural/architectural engineering background, 3–6 years of experience, and familiarity with REVIT and other analysis tools.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Civil, Structural, or Architectural Engineering.
• Master's Degree would be considered an asset.
• P.E. license preferred; S.E. license would be considered an asset.
• 3-6 years of experience in residential, commercial, or institutional buildings as a Structural Engineer.
• Experience in historic buildings preservation would be considered an asset.
• Proficiency with computer analysis software (RISA, SAP, RAM).
• Working knowledge of REVIT.
• Client focused, always striving to give clients the best solutions.

Responsibilities

• Structural design and analysis for a wide range of buildings projects, involving steel, concrete, masonry, wood, and archaic building systems.
• Assisting in the preparation of drawings and specifications.
• Conducting site investigations to document existing conditions.
• Coordinating with staff and clients on projects.
