Job summary

TYLin in Buffalo, NY is seeking a Senior Structural Engineer to join our Buildings team. You will lead structural design and analysis for a variety of building projects, including new construction, renovations, and historic preservation, working with steel, concrete, masonry, and wood.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Civil, Structural, or Architectural Engineering.
Master’s degree would be an asset.
P.E. license preferred; S.E. license would be considered an asset.
3-6 years of experience in the execution of residential, commercial, or institutional buildings projects as a Structural Engineer is required.
Experience in historic buildings preservation would be considered an asset.
Proficiency with computer analysis software (e.g. RISA, SAP, RAM) and REVIT.

Responsibilities

Structural design and analysis for a wide range of buildings projects, involving steel, concrete, masonry, wood.
Assisting in the preparation of drawings and specifications.
Conducting site investigations to document existing conditions.
Coordinating with staff and clients on projects.
