Job summary

Terrestrial Energy in Charlotte, NC, seeks a senior Project Manager specializing in engineering to lead multi‑stream nuclear reactor projects within our IMSR program. You will coordinate cross‑functional teams, manage schedules and budgets, and ensure regulatory and safety compliance from concept through commissioning.

The role demands 7–10 years in project management on complex technical programs, with nuclear industry exposure, and a strong track record of managing $5M+ budgets.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Physics, or related technical field (Master's degree preferred).
• 7–10 years of project management experience in complex technical environments.
• At least 3 years of experience in the nuclear industry or comparable highly regulated sector.
• Proven track record managing projects with budgets exceeding $5M.
• Strong understanding of nuclear reactor systems and fuel cycle processes.
• Familiarity with nuclear regulatory frameworks (DOE, NRC, CNSC, or international equivalents).

Responsibilities

• Lead simultaneous project streams across the Reactor Pilot Program and Fuel Line Pilot Facility, ensuring alignment with IMSR objectives.
• Develop and maintain comprehensive project plans, schedules, budgets, and resource allocation strategies.
• Coordinate cross-functional teams including engineering, procurement, safety, quality assurance, licensing and regulatory compliance.
• Implement and maintain project management methodologies appropriate for nuclear technology development environments.
• Track and report project progress, risks, and mitigation strategies to senior management and stakeholders.
• Establish and maintain relationships with procurement and EPC contractors to ensure timely delivery and compliance.
