Job summary

Metric Geo, a NYC-based mechanical contractor, is seeking an experienced Project Manager to own complex mechanical and public works projects from start to finish.

You’ll lead scheduling, cost control, subcontractor management, procurement, client relationships and day-to-day decision making, staying 2–3 weeks ahead and protecting margins.

Qualifications

• Experience managing heavy mechanical, civil, plumbing, HVAC or infrastructure projects.
• Strong scheduling, sequencing and cost control.
• Comfortable managing multiple projects simultaneously.
• Public works / NYC construction experience preferred.
• Strong subcontractor and client management skills.
• Ownership mindset and the ability to solve problems independently.

Responsibilities

• Own the project from start to finish, including schedule, cost and overall performance.
• Manage subcontractors and ensure accountability.
• Handle billing, approvals and collections.
• Oversee procurement, sequencing and project planning.
• Maintain client relationships and day-to-day decision making.
• Protect margins and identify risks before they become problems.

A growing NYC-based mechanical contractor is looking for an experienced Project Manager to take full ownership of complex mechanical and public works projects.

Every project is treated like its own business and you’re the person running it.

The Role

You’ll own the project from start to finish, including:

• Schedule, cost and overall project performance
• Subcontractor management and accountability
• Billing, approvals and collections
• Procurement, sequencing and project planning
• Client relationships and day-to-day decision making
• Protecting margins and identifying risks before they become problems

You’ll be expected to stay 2–3 weeks ahead of the job, make decisions, solve problems and keep your team moving.

This is a role for someone who takes ownership rather than waits for direction.
