Cobalt Recruitment is hiring a Project Manager to own multi-million-dollar commercial boiler, heating, and plumbing installation projects in New York City from estimating through closeout. You’ll manage budgets, schedules, RFIs/submittals, and change orders while closely coordinating with the Superintendent and field team.
Ideal candidates bring subcontractor PM experience for mechanical systems, strong budgeting skills, and proficiency with Procore or MS Project.
A licensed Master Plumber, Oil Burner Installer, and General Contractor serving New York City is hiring a Project Manager to own commercial boiler, heating, and plumbing installation projects ranging from $2M to $20M, end to end. You’d run the office side of every project, estimating, budgeting, RFIs and submittals, while partnering closely with the Superintendent who runs the field.
This role is for someone who already knows mechanical systems inside and out from running them on the sub side, not someone learning it from a GC’s PM desk. You’d own the full project lifecycle on multi-million-dollar mechanical installations and be the main point of contact for the client.
Ideally, you’ve managed projects as a PM for a heating and plumbing subcontractor. If that’s not an exact match, PM experience with a general HVAC mechanical subcontractor is also a strong fit, this isn’t an electrical background. You’re comfortable owning budgets, schedules, and change orders on multi-million-dollar mechanical installations, and you’re proficient with Procore, MS Project, or similar software.
A 401(k) with company match, full medical, dental, and vision insurance, paid time off, and long-term growth with a company that keeps its PMs close to the trade instead of buried in GC-style overhead.
If you’ve been running mechanical installation projects from the subcontractor side and want to step into full ownership, we’d like to hear from you.
