Job summary

R-2 Contractors is seeking a Project Manager to lead heavy civil underground utility-scale power and dry utility projects. Location options include Gilbert, AZ or Prineville, OR with 20% travel. Salary ranges from $125,000 to $185,000 yearly depending on experience.

Applicants should have 3–5 years on heavy civil projects, PM/CM/QC experience on large power builds, and strong communication, scheduling, and budgeting skills. Proficiency with HCSS and MS Project is preferred.

Qualifications

• 3-5 years minimum experience working on heavy civil projects.
• Experience in PM, CM, or QC roles on large-scale power projects involving civil construction within the power industry.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and ability to read project documents.
• Experience with HCSS HeavyJob/HeavyBid or willingness to be trained; also MS Project experience.

Responsibilities

• New project planning and coordination among internal departments, subcontractors, and clients.
• Track project completion, daily production rates, materials, equipment usage, and changes to conditions.
• Read and interpret project specifications and drawings; construct the project per design.
• Schedule building and maintenance; review AP invoices and monthly billings.
• Maintain budget awareness and project projections; build internal/external relationships.
