Job summary

R-2 Contractors is seeking a Project Manager - Heavy Civil to join our expanding team. This role focuses on planning, coordinating, and executing heavy civil projects in the power sector, with travel up to 20% to Gilbert, AZ or Prineville, OR offices.

The ideal candidate has 3–5 years of experience in PM/CM/QC on large-scale power projects, strong MS Office skills, and the ability to work well under demanding conditions. R-2 Contractors emphasizes integrity and teamwork.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years minimum experience on heavy civil projects.
• Experience using project documents to comply with building requirements.
• PM/CM/QC roles on large power civil projects.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
• HCSS HeavyJob/HeavyBid familiarity or willingness to learn.
• Microsoft Project experience or willingness to be trained.
• Must be a team player and multi-task.
• Detail-oriented, organized, and self-driven.
• Excellent verbal and written communication.
• Able to pass pre-employment drug screen and background check.
• Willing to work long hours and varying conditions.
• Subject to drug testing and background check.

Responsibilities

• Plan and coordinate new projects among internal departments, subcontractors, and clients.
• Track project completion, daily production, materials, equipment usage, changes to conditions, etc.
• Understand and apply project specifications and drawings.
• Read and interpret project documents to construct per design.
• Schedule building and maintenance.
• AP invoice review/approval.
• Monthly billings.
• Timecard review/approval.
• Budget review and maintenance.
• Project projections (materials, productivity, manpower, equipment).
• Relationship building internal/external.
