Job summary

R-2 Contractors is seeking a Project Manager for heavy civil underground utility projects. The role focuses on planning, coordination, and budget control across complex power projects with 20% travel to Gilbert, AZ or Prineville, OR. Salary ranges from $125,000 to $185,000 annually, DOE, with full benefits and a strong team culture.

The candidate will lead multiple functions, monitor progress, and ensure compliance with project documents. Excellent communication and multitasking are essential.

Qualifications

• 3-5 years minimum experience on heavy civil projects.
• Experience in PM, CM, or QC roles on large-scale power projects.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office; training available for HCSS and Microsoft Project.
• Team player, detail-oriented, organized, and self-driven.

Responsibilities

• Plan and coordinate new projects across internal departments, subcontractors, and clients.
• Track project progress, production rates, materials, and equipment usage.
• Understand scope, terminology, and project documents.
• Read and interpret project specifications and drawings and implement per design.
• Schedule building and maintenance activities.
• Review and approve AP invoices; manage monthly billings.
• Review timecards and budgets; maintain budget during construction.
• Forecast project projections for materials, productivity, manpower, and equipment.
• Build internal and external relationships to support project success.
