Job summary

R-2 Contractors is seeking a Project Manager - Heavy Civil to join our expanding team. The role focuses on large-scale underground utility and power/dry utility projects, with up to 20% travel from our MI, AZ, and OR offices.

You will plan, coordinate, oversee projects, manage budgets, schedules, and subcontractors, and ensure compliance with drawings and specifications. Strong communication and leadership are essential for success.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years minimum experience on heavy civil projects.
• Experience with PM, CM, or QC roles on large-scale power projects.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office; able to read project documents and drawings.

Responsibilities

• New project planning and coordination amongst internal departments, subcontractors, and clients.
• Proper tracking of project completion, daily production rates, materials, equipment usage, changes to conditions, etc.
• Understand the scope of work, terminology, and project documents; read drawings and construct per design.
• Schedule building and maintenance.
• AP invoice review/approval.
• Monthly billings.
• Timecard review/approval.
• Budget review and maintenance during construction.
• Project projections (materials, productivity, manpower, equipment).
• Relationship building with internal/external stakeholders.
