Job summary

R-2 Contractors is seeking a Project Manager for Heavy Civil Underground Utility-Scale Power/Dry Utilities projects. The position is based at our Gilbert, AZ, Prineville, OR, and Michigan offices, with up to 20% travel.

You will coordinate planning, tracking, budgeting, and subcontractor management across departments, ensuring adherence to project documents and specs. Requires 3–5 years in heavy civil, MS Office, HCSS HeavyJob/HeavyBid, and MS Project.

Qualifications

• 3-5 years minimum experience on heavy civil projects.
• PM/CM/QC roles on large-scale power projects in civil construction.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
• Experience with HCSS HeavyJob & HeavyBid.
• Experience with Microsoft Project.
• Team player; able to perform multiple duties.
• Detail-oriented, organized, and self-driven.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Legally eligible to work in the United States; visa sponsorship not available.
• Able to pass pre-employment drug screen and background check; driving record check.
• Willing to work long hours and in varying conditions.

Responsibilities

• New project planning & coordination among departments, subcontractors, and clients.
• Track project completion, daily production, materials, and changes.
• Understand scope, terminology, and project documents.
• Read and apply project specifications and drawings to construction.
• Schedule building and maintenance.
• AP invoice review/approval.
• Monthly billings.
• Timecard review/approval.
• Budget review and maintenance during construction.
• Project projections for materials, productivity, manpower, and equipment.
• Relationship building with internal and external stakeholders.
