Trueline's client, a leading heavy civil contractor known for delivering complex, large-scale infrastructure projects, is seeking a Project Manager (Heavy Civil - Excavation / SOE) to join their team in New York, NY (Manhattan, onsite). This role will lead deep excavation and foundation work on a high-visibility urban project, with full ownership of safety, schedule, and cost performance. It is a strong opportunity for someone who thrives in technically demanding environments and wants to make an impact on a landmark build.

What You'll Do as the Project Manager:

• Lead planning and execution of deep excavation and support of excavation (SOE) scopes
• Develop and manage project schedules, budgets, and detailed work plans
• Coordinate design and engineering reviews for systems such as secant piles, caissons, and bracing systems
• Oversee field operations including drilling, shoring, excavation, and material hauling
• Ensure installation quality and compliance with drawings, geotechnical reports, and specifications
• Identify project risks related to site conditions, sequencing, and logistics and implement mitigation strategies
• Manage subcontractors, including performance tracking, scheduling, and billing approvals
• Oversee procurement of key materials and equipment
• Lead project meetings and serve as the main point of contact for stakeholders, engineers, and inspectors
• Drive adherence to safety standards and environmental regulations across all site activities

Must-Haves as the Project Manager:

• 10+ years of project management experience in heavy civil construction
• Strong expertise in excavation, SOE, and foundation systems
• Hands‑on experience with systems such as secant piles, caissons, and soldier pile and lagging
• Working knowledge of structural bracing systems including walers, struts, and rakers
• Ability to interpret construction drawings, specifications, and geotechnical reports
• Experience with project scheduling tools such as Primavera P6 or MS Project
• Proven ability to manage budgets, cost controls, and change orders
• Strong leadership, communication, and problem‑solving skills

Nice-to-Haves as the Project Manager:

• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related field
• OSHA 30 certification
• PMP certification
