Job summary

Texas Energy Poverty Research Institute (TEPRI) seeks a Project Manager to develop and manage energy projects across Texas, with a hybrid work schedule in downtown Austin. You will coordinate with TEPRI and diverse stakeholders to advance energy solutions for multifamily and rural communities.

The ideal candidate has exceptional project management skills and experience with energy efficiency, solar/storage, or demand response, and can work independently in a small team while contributing to

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s or Associate’s Degree with 5+ years, or Master’s with 3+ years of full-time experience.
  • Experience in project management, research, and program development in energy, public sector, or nonprofit settings.
  • Experience working in a team environment, alternating between team player and team lead.
  • Experience with private and public sector, project-based environments including development, university research, consulting, or professional services.
  • Ability to adapt communication for diverse stakeholders.

Responsibilities

  • Manage stakeholder-driven energy innovation projects for multifamily and rural communities.
  • Manage projects, teams, budgets, timelines, and reporting.
  • Coordinate with portfolio manager on status, roadblocks, and solutions.
  • Support research, evaluation, and demonstration of new energy solutions.
  • Develop financing strategies and funding pathways to bring projects to fruition.
  • Communicate project outcomes to stakeholders and the public.
  • Collaborate on other managers’ project portfolios.
  • Assist in writing reports, research papers, and publications.
