Job summary

Facility Innovations Group Inc is seeking an Energy Project Manager to lead solar, energy storage, microgrid, and energy-efficiency projects from development through closeout. You will coordinate engineers, subcontractors, suppliers, and customers to deliver projects on time and within budget.

The role requires 3–6+ years in energy project management, NEC knowledge, and field experience with solar systems. This full-time position in Austin, TX involves nationwide travel and opportunities to

Qualifications

• 3–6+ years of project management and/or engineering experience in energy projects.
• Energy efficiency project management experience required.
• Experience with solar PV, battery storage, microgrids, MEP systems, or similar energy projects.
• Field experience with solar installation, startup, and commissioning.
• Knowledge of NEC as it relates to solar PV.

Responsibilities

• Manage energy projects from development and design through construction and closeout.
• Build and manage project schedules, budgets, procurement, and construction milestones.
• Conduct site visits to evaluate mechanical, electrical, HVAC, and energy systems.
• Coordinate subcontractors, suppliers, engineers, consultants, and internal project teams.
• Manage equipment procurement, deliveries, permitting, mobilization, and field construction.
• Review project drawings, specifications, scopes, and bid documents.
• Oversee solar, battery storage, microgrid, MEP, and energy-efficiency installations.
• Coordinate permitting, utility interconnection, inspections, and commissioning.
• Ensure projects meet safety, quality, financial, schedule, and technical requirements.
• Maintain strong communication with customers and project stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle.
