Position Summary

The Project Manager is responsible for all aspects of project management, including estimates, project startup, budgets, and construction schedules. This role collaborates with in-house and external construction personnel to ensure projects are completed on time and within budget, while maintaining design integrity. The role requires travel and overnight stays near job sites from Monday to Friday most weeks.

Responsibilities
  • Manage project goals, scope, deliverables, budget, staffing, and schedule.
  • Establish project expectations, procedures, standards, and ensure compliance with health & safety regulations and codes.
  • Organize and oversee project staff; promote teamwork among internal staff, clients, vendors, and subcontractors.
  • Prepare take-offs for estimating jobs.
  • Complete daily reports, project logs, and change orders promptly.
  • Document and submit weekly reports on project progress and budget activity.
  • Coordinate weekly updates with other departments.
  • Resolve contractual issues timely or escalate as needed.
  • Create SOVs, oversee payments, and monitor material deliveries and installation progress.
  • Handle job closing documentation and release holds.
  • Conduct post-project reviews to identify improvements and make recommendations.
Qualifications (Knowledge & Skills)
  • Strong knowledge of commercial construction practices, building codes, and standards.
  • Understanding of local, state, and federal regulations, including OSHA.
  • Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and plans.
  • Excellent negotiation, problem-solving, and conflict resolution skills.
  • Experience managing project budgets and implementing cost controls.
  • Effective communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Proficiency in MS Office Suite.
  • Valid U.S. driver’s license with a clean driving record; background check required.
Education
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Associate’s/Bachelor’s degree in Business or Construction Management preferred.
  • PMP certification is a plus.
Experience
  • 2-5 years of project management experience required.
Work Environment
  • Work in typical construction environments with appropriate PPE.
Location

This is a remote role. Candidates must have a dedicated workspace and be available to perform all essential job functions during scheduled hours.

Other Requirements
  • Successful background check and drug screening.
  • Frequent travel and overnight stays required.
  • Valid driver’s license and clean MVR.
  • Physical ability to reach, bend, kneel, crouch, and lift up to 50 pounds.
