National Account Technical Project Manager - REMOTE

The role involves managing the commissioning of new HVAC systems and controls, and providing daily updates on field service and warranty work for large National Account customers. Secondary responsibilities include supporting production planning, team growth, factory discussions, and other needs within our expanding team. The position reports directly to the National Accounts Operations Manager.

Responsibilities include:
  1. Supporting East and West coast projects, including project calls and site visits.
  2. Establishing start-up and commissioning plans, procedures, and schedules; verifying system installation and performance standards.
  3. Collaborating with technicians, commissioning agents, factory reps, contractors, and customers to review system operations.
  4. Providing support for installation, start-up, troubleshooting, and warranty issues.
  5. Managing external service providers for projects, service, warranty, manpower, and closeout.
  6. Overseeing field service work plans and providing troubleshooting and warranty support.
  7. Supporting the National Accounts group with technical service and warranty issues.
  8. Facilitating customer training on equipment operation and maintenance.
  9. Preparing daily updates on issues and communicating with relevant parties.
  10. Managing project issues to closure efficiently.
  11. Obtaining training and certifications, and conducting ongoing technical education.
  12. Developing and maintaining safety plans and fostering a safety culture.
Additional duties include:
  1. Working with the Operations Manager to improve customer satisfaction.
  2. Providing pre-start-up assistance and coordination.
  3. Supporting aftermarket parts sales and maintaining relationships with end users.
Minimum qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Understanding of HVAC systems and controls.
  • Mechanical aptitude and ability to read construction and system documents.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Customer service passion, problem-solving skills, and teamwork.
  • Ability to work independently and manage third-party providers.
  • Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Office.
  • Ability to lift 50 lbs and hold a valid driver’s license.
  • Willingness to travel overnight up to 30%.
Preferred qualifications:
  • Five or more years of HVAC experience.
  • Degree or certification in mechanical engineering or related fields.
  • Experience in HVAC commissioning and controls.
  • Interest in learning and growth.
  • Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Teams.
