We are seeking a driven Junior Project Manager with experience in the construction industry to support multiple data center projects for a top technology client. This client-facing role requires strong interpersonal, communication, organizational skills, self-direction, and solid project management fundamentals. The ability to manage multiple projects across regions is essential. A background in data center development, design, engineering, controls, and operational requirements is highly desirable.

You will play a key role in mentoring staff, building long-term client relationships, and pursuing new business opportunities, including strategy development, positioning, proposals, and contract negotiations.

Responsibilities

1. Apply modern project management techniques within complex organizations, understanding engineering, design, procurement, safety, construction, and commissioning processes.
2. Establish strong client relationships and communicate effectively with technical and management personnel.
3. Manage assigned projects from initiation to completion, ensuring timely and effective delivery.
4. Prepare presentations and reports for management on project progress, findings, and recommendations.
5. Review project plans, requirements, and specifications.
6. Support RFP preparation, contractor selection, and contract award processes.
7. Coordinate with contractors to establish CPM baseline schedules.
8. Perform resource analyses to identify bottlenecks and resource constraints.
9. Identify project risks and opportunities, providing mitigation and enhancement recommendations.
10. Facilitate and chair project meetings, maintaining accurate minutes and action items.
11. Review and validate project progress, pay applications, and invoices.
12. Conduct technical and financial assessments, feasibility studies, and site surveys, liaising with designers, engineers, and construction managers.
13. Contribute to business development through strategy, proposals, and contract negotiations.
14. Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Required:

• 7-10 years of construction project management experience.
• Bachelor's degree in construction, mechanical or electrical engineering, project management, or related field.
• Strong understanding of construction, mechanical, and electrical systems.
• Knowledge of pre-design, pre-construction, contract management, project delivery, and building systems.
• Experience preparing reports for diverse audiences.
• Client-facing experience and excellent communication skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office programs.

Preferred:

• Master's degree in construction management or BSc. in Construction Engineering.
• Experience with Earned Value Management.
• Membership in PMI, CCMA, or similar organizations.
• PMP or CCM certification.
• Strong background in data center development and construction.
