Job summary

JE Dunn Construction is seeking a Project Manager within the Advanced Facilities Group in Indianapolis, IN. You will lead all aspects of preconstruction and construction activities for complex projects in data center, industrial, and manufacturing sectors, while ensuring safety, quality, and profitability.

The role requires 5+ years of construction management experience, a relevant bachelor’s degree, and strong skills in scheduling, Lean processes, and client coordination.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in construction management, engineering or related field; equivalent experience considered.
• 5+ years of construction management experience.
• Valid driver's license.
• Ability to travel and work non-traditional hours.

Responsibilities

• Leads safety culture and injury-free environment; mentors staff.
• Manages prestart process.
• Supports preconstruction with quantity takeoff, trade coordination, scope development, bid packages, scheduling and bid ads.
• Leads buyout schedule; verifies pricing and scope; manages subcontracts.
• Manages submittal schedule; reviews shop drawings and samples.
• Coordinates with Logistics for material pricing.
• Conducts risk analysis of subcontractors throughout project lifecycle.
• Coordinates stakeholders (subcontractors, owner, field, design, vendors).
• Gathers pricing via change requests; supports owner/architect approvals.
• Leads monthly project reviews, progress and OAC meetings.
• Prepares monthly subcontractor and owner pay applications.
• Develops project schedule; applies Lean principles; manages resources.
• Identifies schedule impacts and mitigations.
• Documents decisions affecting budget, schedule, quality and safety.
• Provides reporting to communicate status and profitability.
• Prepares cost/margin forecasts; supports budget development.
• Leads project closeout; coordinates warranties, contracts.
• Interfaces with legal counsel as appropriate.
