Job summary

Wesco is hiring a Project Manager I for Project Execution - Complex Wire and Cable Projects in a hybrid setting. You will oversee scope, cost, schedule, staffing, and external vendors, preparing status reports for upper management and supporting less complex projects as needed.

You will coordinate project support activities, develop project plans, and communicate progress to leadership. The role requires strong problem solving, negotiation, and cross-functional collaboration skills.

Qualifications

• High School degree or equivalent; Associate’s degree preferred
• 2 years required, 4 years preferred directing work in project management
• Business and management principles including strategic planning, resource allocation, and production methods
• Proven ability to manage processes to achieve objectives
• Ability to build effective relationships with other functions to support mutual objectives
• Excellent problem-solving and ability to analyze workflow and processes
• Interpersonal, conflict management, and negotiation skills
• Adept at researching project-related issues and product
• Ability to learn, understand, and apply new technologies
• Ability to prioritize and execute tasks
• Effective written and verbal communication skills

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and execute project support activities including expediting materials and deliveries
• Manage special billing requirements and maintain document control
• Provide sales support to ensure successful project execution and customer satisfaction
• Develop full-scale project plans and communications documents
• Communicate project updates to management
• Estimate resources and participants needed to achieve goals
• Align activities with safety, quality, delivery, and cost goals
• Draft and submit budget proposals and recommend changes
• Determine staffing needs and adjust during the project cycle
• Set and manage project expectations with team members
• Identify and resolve issues and conflicts within the project team
• Plan timelines and milestones using appropriate tools
• Track milestones and deliverables
• Develop progress reports, proposals, requirements documentation, and presentations
• Manage changes in project scope and develop contingency plans

Education

High School Degree or equivalent experience

Associate’s degree preferred
