Job summary

Wesco seeks a highly organized Project Manager III to oversee complex warehouse and inventory management projects for utilities and data centers in the United States. You will manage scope, cost, schedule, staffing, and external vendors to ensure on-time, within-budget delivery.

You will lead cross-functional teams, develop comprehensive project plans, and communicate progress to upper management. The role emphasizes continuous improvement, safety, quality, and cost control with travel up to 25%.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher is preferred; Associate degree required.
• 5+ years directing work in large-scale project management.
• Strong understanding of business principles, strategic planning, and resource allocation.
• Experience managing people and processes to achieve objectives.

Responsibilities

• Directs and manages large and complex project development from beginning to end.
• Defines scope, goals and deliverables to support business goals with senior management.
• Develops full-scale project plans and communications documents.
• Communicates project expectations to team members and stakeholders.
• Liaise with project stakeholders on an on-going basis.
• Estimates resources and participants needed to achieve project goals.
• Develops employees to be self-sufficient in continuous improvement tools.
• Functions as leader for continuous improvement events.
• Aligns activities with corporate goals around safety, quality, delivery and cost.
• Performs root cause analysis on gaps and drives corrective action.
• Drafts and submits budget proposals and recommends budget changes.
• Negotiates with department managers for personnel acquisition.
• Determines staffing needs and makes adjustments during project cycle.
• Sets and manages project expectations with team members and stakeholders.
• Delegates tasks and responsibilities to personnel.
• Identifies and resolves issues and conflicts within project team.
• Identifies dependencies and critical path.
• Plans and schedules timelines and milestones using appropriate tools.
• Tracks milestones and deliverables.
• Develops and delivers progress reports, requirements documentation, and presentations.
• Manages changes in project scope and implements contingency plans.
