Responsibilities

• Manage federal construction projects from preconstruction through final closeout.
• Maintain responsibility for project budgets, schedules, forecasting, cost control, and financial performance.
• Coordinate project teams, superintendents, subcontractors, architects, engineers, government representatives, and other stakeholders.
• Manage subcontractor procurement, buyout, scopes of work, change orders, RFIs, submittals, and project documentation.
• Develop and maintain project schedules, milestones, and recovery plans when required.
• Lead project meetings and communicate schedule, cost, risk, and performance to internal and external stakeholders.
• Manage construction activities in accordance with federal contract requirements and military installation procedures.
• Identify constructability, scheduling, procurement, and cost issues before they affect project delivery.
• Partner with field leadership to maintain project safety, quality, schedule, and budget requirements.
• Manage commissioning, punch-list completion, turnover, and contract closeout.

Position Overview

We have been retained by a leading employee-owned (ESOP) general contractor specializing in federal construction to identify an experienced Project Manager for its Texas operations.

This position is designed for a construction professional with 5–10 years of experience managing federal construction projects, including direct experience delivering projects on U.S. military installations.

The Project Manager will lead projects from preconstruction and mobilization through execution and closeout, with responsibility for schedule, budget, subcontractor performance, federal compliance, and client relationships.

Direct federal construction experience on military bases is required.
