Job description

Position Title: Project Manager
Salary Range: $120,000-$165,000 / Year, DOE

Own the project. Protect the budget. Deliver work you're proud to put your name on. We're seeking an experienced Project Manager to join an established general contractor specializing in federal and public-sector construction. This role takes full ownership of projects from kickoff through closeout, managing schedules, subcontractors, change orders, financial performance and the day-to-day decisions that keep complex projects moving forward. Projects typically range from $7M-$15M, with a mix of new construction, design-build, tenant improvement and smaller IDIQ work.

The ideal candidate is a practical, hands-on construction professional who has managed projects for an at-risk general contractor, understands federal construction and can confidently run multiple projects without needing layers of administrative support.

  • Manage change orders directly, including pricing, documentation and negotiations with owners and subcontractors
  • Oversee project financial performance, invoicing, cost control and profit and loss responsibilities
  • Navigate permitting, project logistics, owner requirements and client-specific processes throughout each phase of construction
  • Collaborate with preconstruction, estimating, field teams, and subcontractors to keep projects moving efficiently and successfully
Requirements
  • 5+ years of Project Manager experience with approximately 8+ years of overall construction industry experience

  • U.S. citizenship required due to federal project restrictions
  • Ability to independently manage multiple projects while maintaining strong control over schedules, budgets and project execution
Benefits
  • Discretionary bonuses tied to company and project performance
  • 100% employer-paid employee health insurance premiums with 50% coverage toward dependent premiums
  • Simple IRA with an employer match, subject to eligibility requirements
  • Short-term and long-term disability coverage providing at least 60% salary protection
  • $50,000 employer-provided life insurance policy
  • 11 paid holidays plus negotiable PTO, typically beginning with two weeks
