The Axel Group is seeking a Project Manager for our client's team. This opportunity is with a well-established architecture and planning firm specializing in multifamily residential projects and other sectors. The role offers a chance to lead client-facing projects, manage design and construction documentation, and mentor team members within a collaborative environment.

Responsibilities:

• Serve as a primary client contact, developing strong, long-term professional relationships.
• Lead projects from initial design and planning through construction administration and project completion.
• Manage project scope, schedule, deliverables, budgets, and overall performance.
• Coordinate with clients, consultants, contractors, municipalities, and other stakeholders.
• Lead project meetings and communicate project status, decisions, and issues clearly.
• Work closely with clients to understand goals, establish expectations, and guide projects through all phases.
• Direct and coordinate architectural staff throughout project phases.
• Mentor junior and intermediate staff, providing guidance on design, documentation, and coordination.
• Review drawings, specifications, and deliverables for quality and accuracy.
• Develop and oversee architectural documentation and construction documents using Revit.
• Coordinate work with structural, MEP, civil, landscape, and other consultants.
• Participate in design development, material selection, code analysis, detailing, and documentation.
• Review shop drawings, RFIs, submittals, and construction administration documentation.
• Conduct site visits and field observations, resolving construction-related issues.
• Maintain project schedules, coordinate resources, and meet deadlines.
• Identify and address project risks and coordination challenges proactively.
• Contribute to office standards, workflows, and best practices.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Architecture from an accredited program.
• 5+ years of professional architectural experience, with demonstrated project management or leadership.
• Strong working knowledge of Revit and proficiency in managing Revit-based documentation.
• Experience managing projects through multiple phases of design and construction.
• Proven ability to manage clients, consultants, teams, schedules, and deliverables.
• Solid understanding of architectural design, construction documentation, building systems, and materials.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines effectively.
• Capable of working collaboratively while taking ownership of project outcomes.
• An architectural license in New Jersey is preferred but not required.

Compensation:
Salary range up to $120,000.00 annually.
