A leading architecture and design firm in New York City is seeking an experienced Project Architect to join its team. This is an excellent opportunity for a technically focused architect who enjoys being hands-on with project delivery, documentation, detailing, and coordination.

The ideal candidate will have 6–10 years of professional experience, be a Registered Architect, and have strong Revit skills. Project typology is flexible; the priority is finding someone with a strong technical foundation who understands how buildings come together and can confidently take projects through documentation and construction.

Responsibilities include:

• Leading the technical development and documentation of projects
• Developing and coordinating construction documents in Revit
• Translating design intent into well-resolved, constructible architectural solutions
• Producing and reviewing plans, sections, elevations, wall sections, envelope details, and other technical documentation
• Coordinating closely with structural, MEP, and specialty consultants
• Identifying and resolving technical and interdisciplinary coordination issues
• Applying building codes, accessibility requirements, and relevant regulatory standards throughout project development
• Participating in project and consultant coordination meetings
• Supporting construction administration, including RFIs, submittals, shop drawings, and field-related issues
• Maintaining a high level of quality and consistency across project documentation
• Providing technical guidance and mentorship to junior team members as needed

Qualifications:

• 6–10 years of professional architecture experience
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Architecture
• Registered Architect
• Strong proficiency in Revit
• Strong technical architecture, detailing, and construction documentation experience
• Solid understanding of building systems, materials, assemblies, and construction methods
• Experience coordinating with engineering and specialty consultants
• Knowledge of building codes and accessibility requirements
• Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills
• Collaborative, detail-oriented approach with the ability to take ownership of the technical aspects of a project
