Job summary

Pavion is seeking a talented Project Manager to lead the JFK fire protection project, including Terminals 1 and 6, across our fire business unit in New York. You will oversee scheduling, liaison between EC and GC, and ensure successful delivery within scope, cost, and schedule.

The role requires NYCFD S-98, knowledge of NYC FD code requirements, and a minimum of 10 years of PM experience on large projects. This full-time position offers competitive compensation and growth within Pavion.

Qualifications

• HS Diploma or GED required.
• Minimum 10 years' experience managing large projects.
• Customer service experience required.
• NYCFD S-98 certification required.
• Knowledge of NYC FD code requirements.
• Valid Driver License required.

Responsibilities

• Supervise all facets of the JFK job including Terminals 1 & 6.
• Schedule and coordinate between EC and GC; manage change orders and revenue recognition.
• Perform pre-sales or post-award assessments to optimize material and labor costs.
• Prepare submittals, permitting documents, and O&M Manuals and As-Builts on completion.
• Communicate with executives/board to align project goals.
• Make decisions to progress the project among multiple options.
• Coordinate teams and ensure multi-unit synergy on projects.
• Provide manpower coordination and subcontractor management.
• Coordinate permitting and inspections with AHJ.

Pavion and our family of companies are seeking a talented and motivated Project Manager to join our fire business unit.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Supervise all facets of the JFK job including Terminals 1 & 6
• Scheduling, Liaison between EC and GC, Applicable Change Orders, Percentage of Completion (Revenue Recognition)
• Perform pre-sales or post-award engineering assessments to provide our sales force with the most cost-effective solution for both material and labor
• Prepare submittals and permitting documents as well as O&M Manuals and As-Builts upon job completion
• Communicating with executives or the board to keep the project aligned with their goals
• Making effective decisions when presented with multiple options for how to progress with the project
• Serving as a point of contact for teams when multiple units are assigned to the same project to ensure team actions remain in synergy
• Management and logistical support of multiple ongoing projects
• Manpower coordination/Sub-contractor management
• Permitting and inspection coordination with AHJ

Basic Qualifications

• HS Diploma or GED
• Minimum 10 years' experience project management large jobs
• Customer service experience
• NYCFD S-98
• Knowledge of NYC FD code requirements
• Valid Driver License required

Salary: $100,000 to $120,000 depending on experience
