Job summary

Lunar Outpost Inc. offers an on-site Project Manager Intern role in Golden, CO, supporting planning, execution, and monitoring of spaceflight projects. You will work with full-time engineers on real projects and gain end-to-end experience in autonomous robotic development.

On-site schedule is Mon Tue Thu Fri 9:00–5:00; Wednesdays may be remote (9:00–5:00). Start early June 2027 through late August 2027, with flexible dates based on school schedules.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a STEM field.

Responsibilities

• Assist in development and maintenance of project schedules and timelines.
• Support project managers in tracking progress and milestones.
• Coordinate with cross-functional teams to gather and allocate requirements.
• Prepare and distribute project documentation including status reports and minutes.
• Participate in project meetings and provide administrative support.
• Identify, track, and mitigate project risks.
• Contribute to process improvement initiatives.

As a Project Manager Intern at Lunar Outpost, you will work closely with our project management team to support the planning, execution, and monitoring of various spaceflight projects.All interns will work directly alongside full-time engineers on real, engaging, and impactful projects, providing tangible value to Lunar Outpost products. This internship offers a truly end-to-end experience that promotes collaboration at every stage of autonomous robotic development.

Working Conditions / Schedule: This position is required to be onsite Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Where applicable, employees may work remotely on Wednesdays from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Additional hours may be required based on business needs.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist in the development and maintenance of project schedules and timelines
• Support project managers in tracking project progress and ensuring milestones are met
• Coordinate with cross-functional teams to gather and allocate requirements

Early-June (June 7, 2027) to late August (August 20, 2027). Start and end dates are flexible with the intern's school schedule. This is an in-person internship; Monday - Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM in Golden, Colorado.
