Job summary

Lunar Outpost Inc. in Golden, CO is seeking a Mechanical Engineering Intern to participate in the design, review, fabrication, assembly, and maintenance of robotic systems alongside full-time engineers.

This in-person internship runs early June to late August 2027, with Monday–Friday hours; start and end dates flex with your school schedule. You will gain end-to-end experience across autonomous robotic development and contribute real value to Lunar Outpost products.

Qualifications

Job description

As a Mechanical Engineering Intern at Lunar Outpost, you will participate in the design, review, fabrication, assembly, and maintenance of numerous cutting-edge robotic systems. All interns will work directly alongside full-time engineers on real, engaging, and impactful projects, providing tangible value to Lunar Outpost products. This internship offers a truly end-to-end experience that promotes collaboration at every stage of autonomous robotic development.

Qualifications:

• Pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail and the ability to work methodically in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
• Can effectively demonstrate communication and interpersonal skills, while also excelling in collaboration and teamwork in an interdisciplinary environment
• Exhibits strong organizational and time management skills under pressure and in stressful situations

Early-June (June 7, 2027) to late August (August 20, 2027). Start and end dates are flexible with the intern's school schedule. This is an in-person internship; Monday - Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM in Golden, Colorado.
