Job summary

Lunar Outpost in Golden, Colorado is offering a Project Manager Intern role where you’ll work directly with full-time engineers on real, engaging spaceflight projects. You’ll help plan, execute, and monitor initiatives, supporting the PM team across milestones and documentation.

This in-person internship runs early June 2027 to late August 2027, Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM, with flexible dates to fit your school schedule.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a STEM field.
• Familiar with project management software (e.g., Microsoft Project, Jira, Trello).
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail and the ability to work methodically in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
• Can effectively demonstrate communication and interpersonal skills, while also excelling in collaboration and teamwork in an interdisciplinary environment.
• Exhibits strong organizational and time management skills under pressure and in stressful situations.
• Fueled by a passion for space exploration and the boundless possibilities beyond our world

Responsibilities

• Assist in the development and maintenance of project schedules and timelines
• Support project managers in tracking project progress and ensuring milestones are met
• Coordinate with cross-functional teams to gather and allocate requirements
• Prepare and distribute project documentation, including status reports, meeting minutes, and presentations
• Participate in project meetings and provide administrative support
• Help identify, track, and mitigate project risks
• Contribute to process improvement initiatives to enhance organizational practices
