Job summary

Sunbelt Rentals is seeking an Assistant Project Manager to support PMO activities on Load Bank projects. You will assist in quoting, execution, and closeout, providing technical expertise to sales and operations while coordinating resources and information flow.

Responsibilities include reviewing RFQs, maintaining project documentation, and performing ERP data entry, OPS/PUN generation, and budget tracking. Occasional field support and site walks are required to ensure project success.

Qualifications

• Five plus years of experience in the power distribution/generation field with load banks, power distribution and power generation equipment.
• Formal Electrical Training is required.
• PM Certification is preferred.
• Technical aptitude and willingness to learn business applications and fleet capabilities.
• Proficiency with computers and Microsoft Office; excellent English communication; ability to travel overnight ~5%.

Responsibilities

• Assist PMO in documenting discussions, action items, and key decisions from project meetings.
• Review RFQs for completeness and urgency; ask sales for missing details and acceptable assumptions.
• Support sales and operations with level 1–2 service requests as needed.
• Review project solution designs, schedules, drawings for accuracy and details.
• Assist PMs with logistics RFQs, planning, and execution; manage project data in ERP.
• Generate and refresh project trackers and organizational records as required by PMO policies.
• Create OPS and PUN documents; submit leadership approvals as needed.
• Review HALT reports to verify vendor invoicing relevance; generate POs as approved.
• Help develop project budgets and change orders; coordinate freight and third-party resources.
• Conduct site walks/visits; assess equipment needs with Fleet Manager; provide alternatives.
