Job summary

AECOM is actively seeking a highly motivated Documentation Engineer (Project Information Specialist) to work on transportation infrastructure projects in Chicago, IL. Responsible for the care and handling of enterprise-wide company and project documents, including electronic records management, distribution, classification, and retention.

Project Information Management utilizes the tools and systems necessary to effectively and proactively manage, control, and report on all project and company

Qualifications

• BA/BS + 4 Years of experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience/education.
• A valid driver's license is required, along with the ability to pass a Motor Vehicle Records (MVR) check in accordance with company policy.
• Six (6) years of experience in construction including three (3) years' experience as an Office Engineer.
• IDOT Documentation Certification for Contract Quantities
• Good writing and communication skills required
• BS degree in Engineering or Construction Management or related discipline or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education

Responsibilities

• Maintains and organizes engineering documentation on an enterprise content management system which includes identification and generation of reports.
• May be responsible for leading a departmental process as assigned by management.
• May orient, train, assign, and check the work of lower-level employees.
• Responsible for the care and handling of enterprise-wide company and project documents, which includes electronic records management, distribution, classification, and retention.
