Job summary

Sundt Construction is seeking a Project HSE Manager to protect the health and safety of project teams and drive Sundt HS&E programs on complex projects. This role advances through three steps, from entry to senior levels, with increasing independence and project scope.

Key duties include conducting safety walks, site orientations, and maintaining Environmental and Safety Management Plans, while managing emergencies and workers’ comp claims, and ensuring proper documentation.

Qualifications

• Certifications/licenses preferred: STSC, CHST, ASP, CSP.
• Education: high school diploma minimum; bachelor's degree preferred.
• Experience: at least one year of full-time project safety experience.
• Strong written and verbal communication.
• High integrity for reporting incidents and following policy.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office.
• Special skills: able to use various software/apps; bilingual preferred.

Responsibilities

• Conduct frequent safety walks and inspections.
• Provide site-specific safety orientations.
• Create and maintain Project Environmental Management Plan and Project Safety Management Plan.
• Facilitate the Sundt Safety Management and Illness Prevention Systems Manual on the project.
• Manage emergencies, incidents, and worker's compensation claims.
• Review and file project safety documentation.
