Job summary

Quanta Infrastructure Solutions Group, LLC (QISG) is seeking a Project Geotechnical Engineer to support large-scale energy projects across North America. The role focuses on geo-structural design, foundation engineering, and design-build delivery within a multidisciplinary team.

The successful candidate will oversee analyses, develop construction drawings, and provide engineering support during construction, with opportunities for leadership and growth in a dynamic, office-based environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or related field.
• Professional Engineer (P.E.) licensure.
• Minimum 5 years design experience in geotechnical/structural/transmission/substation engineering.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficient with MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook and Teams.
• Able to work with moderate supervision in a small/medium office.
• Master’s degree in geotechnical engineering or engineering geology.
• Familiarity with specialized geotechnical software as listed above.

Responsibilities

• Execute geo-structural engineering tasks for design projects.
• Perform analyses for deep foundations and retaining structures.
• Oversee analyses and coordinate with senior staff.
• Model stability using limit equilibrium and finite element methods.
• Prepare reports and communicate findings to project teams.
• Conduct occasional site visits across North America.
• Support pre-construction investigations and design documentation.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and management.
