Job summary

Quanta Infrastructure Solutions Group, LLC is seeking a Project Geotechnical Engineer to support large-scale energy projects across North America. You will contribute to foundation design, geotechnical investigations, and construction drawings under guidance from senior engineers.

This office-based role requires a PE, a Civil Engineering degree, and at least five years of design experience in geotechnical or related fields.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or related field required.
  • Professional Engineer (P.E.) licensure required.
  • Minimum 5 years of design experience in geotechnical/structural/transmission/substation engineering.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficient with MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Teams.
  • Master’s degree in geotechnical engineering or engineering geology is a plus.
  • Familiarity with LPILE, GROUP, FAD, SHAFT, APILE, SLIDE, RS2, Plaxis, RISA, INVENTOR or SPColumn.

Responsibilities

  • Execute geo-structural engineering tasks for design projects.
  • Perform analyses for deep foundations and retaining structures.
  • Oversee analyses by others and support design production.
  • Develop construction drawings and specifications.
  • Provide engineering support during construction.
  • Conduct pre-construction geotechnical investigations and modeling.
  • Prepare written reports and communicate findings professionally.
  • Travel up to 25% of the year to project sites.
