Job summary

Quanta Infrastructure Solutions Group (QISG) is actively seeking a Project Geotechnical Engineer to support large-scale energy projects across North America. You will contribute to geo-structural design, foundation analysis and construction-ready documentation while collaborating with civil, structural, geotechnical, and construction teams.

You will lead analyses, prepare technical reports, and participate in field activities and client communications.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or related field.
  • Professional Engineer (P.E.) licensure.
  • Minimum 5 years design experience in geotechnical/structural/transmission engineering.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Teams.
  • Ability to work with moderate supervision in a small/medium office setting.
  • Master’s degree in geotechnical engineering or engineering geology.
  • Familiarity with LPILE, GROUP, FAD, SHAFT, APILE, SLIDE, RS2, Plaxis, RISA, INVENTOR or SPColumn.

Responsibilities

  • Execute geo-structural engineering tasks for large-scale projects.
  • Perform designs for deep foundations and retaining structures.
  • Oversee analyses performed by other staff or project professionals.
  • Conduct limit equilibrium and finite element stability modeling.
  • Interface with geotechnical, structural, and civil teams at project level.
  • Manage field subcontractor activities for geotechnical drilling and testing.
  • Develop written reports and present findings under supervision.
  • Conduct site visits across North America as needed.
  • Engage in sector-focused professional activities and events.
