Job summary

Quanta Infrastructure Solutions Group (QISG) is seeking a Project Geotechnical Engineer to join our rapidly growing interdisciplinary team. You will focus on geo-structural design and foundation engineering for large-scale energy generation and transmission projects across North America.

The role involves pre-construction investigations, modeling, and coordination with civil, structural, and geotechnical professionals, with mentorship from senior engineers and collaboration across office

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or related field.
  • Professional Engineer (P.E.) licensure.
  • Minimum 5 years design experience in geotechnical, structural, transmission, or substation engineering.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Teams.
  • Ability to work with moderate supervision in a small or medium office setting.
  • Master’s degree in geotechnical engineering or engineering geology.
  • Familiarity with LPILE, GROUP, FAD, SHAFT, APILE, SLIDE, RS2, Plaxis, RISA, INVENTOR or SPColumn.

Responsibilities

  • Execute geo-structural engineering tasks for design projects.
  • Perform analyses for deep foundations and retaining structures.
  • Oversee analyses by other staff and project professionals.
  • Develop construction drawings and specifications.
  • Provide engineering support during construction.
  • Conduct field site visits across North America.
  • Prepare written reports and present findings to leadership.
