Job summary

NES Fircroft, on behalf of a Chicago-area General Contractor, is seeking a Project Executive to lead Industrial projects from preconstruction through completion and to mentor project teams. The ideal candidate has 10+ years in Industrial construction, current or recent senior roles, and established relationships with owners and developers in the Chicago/Midwest market.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of Industrial construction experience.
• Experience as Project Executive / Senior PM / Director.
• Proven track record leading complex Industrial projects.
• Strong financial and operational acumen.
• Established relationships with Industrial owners, developers, and decision-makers.
• Strong knowledge of the Chicago/Midwest Industrial market.

Responsibilities

• Provide executive oversight of complex Industrial projects from preconstruction through completion.
• Lead and mentor Project Managers, Superintendents, and project teams.
• Drive project financial performance, schedule, quality, safety, and client satisfaction.
• Maintain and expand relationships with owners, developers, and other key industry stakeholders.
• Bring a strong network of Industrial clients and decision-makers.
• Leverage existing relationships to introduce new clients and opportunities to the company.
• Help expand the company’s Industrial footprint through both project leadership and strategic client development.
• Partner with senior leadership on continued growth of the Industrial business.

We are partnered with an established General Contractor seeking an experienced Project Executive to join their Chicago-area team as part of a strategic growth initiative within their Industrial business.

Industrial is the company’s core market, supported by additional expertise in Medical/Pharmaceutical and Data Center construction. The company already has a strong Industrial platform, experienced teams, and an established client base.

Their growth strategy is centered around strategic talent acquisition — bringing in proven industry leaders who can expand the business through the relationships, clients, and opportunities they have developed throughout their careers.

They are looking for a Project Executive who can:

• Provide executive oversight of complex Industrial projects from preconstruction through completion
• Lead and mentor Project Managers, Superintendents, and project teams
• Drive project financial performance, schedule, quality, safety, and client satisfaction
• Maintain and expand relationships with owners, developers, and other key industry stakeholders
• Bring a strong network of Industrial clients and decision-makers

Ideal Candidate

• 10+ years of Industrial construction experience
• Current or recent experience as a Project Executive, Senior Project Manager, Project Director, or similar
• Proven track record leading complex Industrial projects
• Strong financial and operational acumen
• Established relationships with Industrial owners, developers, and decision-makers
• A demonstrated ability to bring clients, relationships, and new opportunities with them
• Strong knowledge of the Chicago/Midwest Industrial market
• Excellent leadership, communication, and relationship-building skills
