Veit in the United States seeks an Assistant Project Manager/Estimator to support the Project Manager from bid to close, coordinating scheduling, cost control, and field activities. The role may require on-site work for the duration of projects. You will review plans, perform takeoffs, gather quantities, and prepare bid proposals using industry tools.

Strong communication and budgeting skills are essential for success. Travel is 80–100% to job sites across the United States.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management or Civil Engineering or 3–5 years of project management/bidding experience.
• Strong communication skills, written and verbal, with all levels of staff and clients.
• Experience with bid preparation, cost estimating, and plan review.

Responsabilités

• Assist Project Manager from start to finish, including site work when required.
• Review plans and specs to determine scope and quantities.
• Maintain project schedules and budgets.
• Prepare accurate material takeoffs and quantities.
• Solicit quotes from subcontractors and manage bid numbers.
• Construct bids and deliver proposals to owners/GCs on time.
• Maintain client relationships and report progress to leadership.
