Job summary

Lockheed Martin Space is seeking engineers to coordinate planning, organization, control, integration and completion of complex engineering projects. You will plan programs, review designs for compliance with engineering principles and customer requirements, and manage design changes and releases.

The role requires strong communication across disciplines, independent work, and a DoD Secret clearance eligible status; teamwork and project execution are essential in a dynamic space environment.

Qualifications

Coordinates planning, organization, control, integration and completion of engineering projects within area of assigned responsibility. Plans and formulates engineering program; reviews product design for compliance with engineering principles, company standards, customer contract requirements, and related specifications. Evaluates and approves design changes, specification and drawing releases. Coordinates activities concerned with technical developments, scheduling, and resolving engineering design and test problems.

Basic Qualifications

• Bachelors degree in a STEM field from an accredited college (Mechanical, Systems, Physics, etc.), or equivalent experience/combined education
• Experience using Microsoft Office applications
• Must be able to develop and execute project plans
• Must be able to compile, prepare, and present information to management, and communicate effectively across multiple disciplines
• Must be able to work independently and in a team environment
• Must be a US Citizen, with the ability to obtain a US Department of Defense Secret clearance

• Ability to foster positive working relationships
• High level of accountability, with ability to multitask concurrent projects within set timelines
• Experience in project management including but not limited to budget planning, cost analysis, schedule development, etc.
• Demonstrated strategic communication skills, both written and verbal, to effectively communicate business cases to all level of peers and stakeholders, with an ability to persuade and motivate action
• Strong sense of follow-up and closure with strict attention to detail
• Knowledge of and experience with Fleet Ballistic Missiles (FBM) Reentry Systems

Pay Information

Full-Time Salary Range: $65500.00 - $121700.00

• For (Washington state applicants only) Non-represented full-time employees: accrue at least 10 hours per month of Paid Time Off (PTO) to be used for incidental absences and other reasons; receive at least 90 hours for holidays. Represented full time employees accrue 6.67 hours of Vacation per month; accrue up to 52 hours of sick leave annually; receive at least 96 hours for holidays. PTO, Vacation, sick leave, and holiday hours are prorated based on start date during the calendar year.
