Job summary

Turner Construction Company is seeking a Project Engineer-level professional to manage information essential for delivering project scope on time, within budget, and per contract documents.

You will supervise engineers and interns, coordinate with architects and subs, manage submittals and budgets, and oversee close-out records. Strong communication and contract-reading skills are required, with BIM/LEAN familiarity valued.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree and 4+ years related experience.
• Strong written and verbal communication abilities.
• Proficiency with MS Office; BIM and LEAN experience helpful.
• Ability to read/interpret contract documents, drawings and specs.

Responsibilities

• Liaise with architects, subcontractors, consultants, suppliers and owner reps to resolve plan issues.
• Oversee contract drawings and submittals; ensure alignment with estimate.
• Manage the project budget and related records.
• Handle submittals and shop drawings; resolve interpretation conflicts.
• Negotiate change orders and manage changes to the work.
• Oversee close-out: RFIs, warranties, O&Ms, as-builts, spare parts.
• Supervise assistants, interns and clerks; participate in performance reviews.
• Prepare Scope of Work documents for trades.
• Develop reports on GC items, labor, safety, and QA/QC.
• Schedule and run subcontractor coordination meetings and reviews.
