LJA Engineering, Inc. seeks a Project Engineer for Land Development to conceptualize the initial design approach for a major phase of a large project. You will collaborate with dedicated leaders, work in a dynamic environment, and contribute to a broad range of clients and services.

The role emphasizes hands-on experience, employee-ownership culture, and growth opportunities across offices. A strong background in civil engineering is required, with PE licensure and 5+ years post-graduate

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science, Civil Engineering is required.
• Licensed Professional Engineer status is required or must be active.
• 5+ years of post-graduate experience.
• Ability to build strong relationships with clients and team members.

Responsibilities

• Conceptualize initial design approaches for major project phases.
• Possibly serve as Assistant Project Manager or Assistant Project Engineer.
• Supervise less experienced engineers or technical staff on assignments as needed.
• Judge and adapt standard engineering techniques to project needs.
• Determine additional information required from internal clients and coordinate it with LJA.
• Make basic decisions regarding alternate procedures when data is lacking.
