Job summary

LJA Engineering is seeking a Project Engineer in Land Development to lead site development and permitting for retail, restaurant, and commercial brands. You will manage projects from due diligence through construction, coordinating with multidisciplinary teams across multiple jurisdictions nationwide.

The role requires a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering and a Licensed Professional Engineer, with at least six years of post-graduate experience in grading, drainage, and stormwater design.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of post-graduate experience.
• High level of grading and drainage experience.
• Technical engineer with experience in conceptual site design, stormwater design & regulations.
• Ability to build strong relationships.

Responsibilities

• Lead site development and permitting efforts for multiple brands.
• Manage projects from due diligence through construction.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams across jurisdictions nationwide.
• Provide guidance to junior engineers and staff as needed.
• Coordinate with internal clients to obtain necessary information.
• Make decisions on procedures when information is incomplete.
