Job summary

JE Dunn Construction in Charlotte, NC seeks a Project Engineer 2 to support routine construction and field execution on diverse projects. You will engage in general construction management, punch lists, and self-perform work while aligning with company safety, quality plans and lean practices.

This role develops through project involvement, QA/QC, estimating support, progress reporting, and closeout activities, building relationships with foremen, subcontractors and trades.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in construction management, engineering or related field.
• Equivalent relevant experience will be considered.
• 2+ years construction experience.
• Lean process knowledge and collaboration with project teams.
• Knowledge of means and methods of construction management.

Responsibilities

• Supports safety and quality plans and culture on site.
• Participates in QA/QC planning for tasks.
• Assists with estimating, schedules and change management.
• Works on site with project team to monitor crew, materials and equipment.
• Prepares punch lists, inspections, safety reviews and required documentation.
• Posts drawings and specifications with the latest information.
• Organizes project meetings and distributes documentation.
• Prepares daily/weekly reports and progress metrics.
• Tracks procurement logs and shop drawings deliveries.
• Supports project closeout and maintenance manuals.
