Job summary

JE Dunn Construction is seeking a Field Engineer 2 to support routine projects and supervise a working foreman. You’ll perform self-perform work, plan crew activities, and ensure safety and quality in line with JE Dunn’s standards.

You'll collaborate with a diverse team across trades, foremen, and superintendents, applying Lean practices and participating in weekly work plans to drive efficiency and cost control on projects.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in construction-related field.
• Federally required training or apprenticeship preferred.
• Experience can substitute for formal education.

Responsibilities

• Participates in project safety plans and embraces Lean practices.
• Plans self-perform work and reports progress to supervision.
• Pre-plans crew activities and maintains daily task plans.
• Monitors crew size and coordinates with the site superintendent.
• Leads planning meetings and lookahead scheduling.
• Coordinates with trades and project team members.
• Supports quality assurance and project cost control activities.
