Job summary

JE Dunn Construction is seeking a Project Engineer 2 for our Industrial & Manufacturing projects in Brownsville, TX. You will support field execution, manage self-perform work, and participate in safety and QA/QC activities to understand building processes and JE Dunn’s execution standards.

You will collaborate with the project team, maintain documentation, track progress, and help with procurement and scheduling efforts to ensure successful project delivery.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in construction management, engineering or related field.
• Equivalent relevant experience will be considered in lieu of above requirements.
• Must be able to lift at least 50 pounds.
• Willing to travel/relocate as needed.
• Must be able to work non-traditional hours to meet project needs.

Responsibilities

• Participates in safety and quality plans and culture.
• Supports project QA/QC planning for tasks.
• Assists in estimates, schedules, and look ahead planning.
• On-site support with crew, materials, and equipment.
• Prepares documentation and participates in meetings.
• Maintains drawings, specs, and procurement logs.
• Provides project reports including daily/weekly updates.
