Job summary

JE Dunn is seeking a Field Engineer 2 in Brownsville, TX to support routine projects and supervise a crew as a working foreman. You will follow the safety plan, perform self-perform tasks, and help drive Lean construction practices while coordinating with the superintendent and project team.

The role emphasizes teamwork, quality assurance, and active participation in planning meetings to meet project goals and client expectations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in construction management, engineering or related field preferred.
• Experience in construction projects and safety culture preferred.
• 1+ year of relevant field experience is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Actively participates in all aspects of the project safety plan and culture.
• Performs self-perform work while embedded with a crew of craftsmen.
• Supports planning, look-ahead schedules and daily task plans.
• Coordinates with superintendent and subcontractors to monitor crew size and productivity.
• Participates in planning meetings and Lean construction activities.
• Ensures quality through project QA/QC activities.
