Job summary

JE Dunn in Brownsville, TX, seeks a Senior Project Engineer to manage a small project or a component of a larger project, applying JE Dunn processes and field execution tools on industrial and manufacturing sites. You’ll support safety, quality, scheduling, and cost control while coordinating with the project team.

The role emphasizes on-site leadership, subcontractor coordination, documentation, and ongoing mentorship to develop skills within a leading construction firm.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in construction management, engineering or related field.
• 3+ years construction experience.
• Equivalent relevant experience will be considered.
• Must be willing to work non-traditional hours to meet project needs.
• Assignment location may include project sites and/or in the office.

Responsibilities

• Performs assigned aspects of safety and quality plans and culture, mentoring others.
• Coordinates QA/QC planning to ensure quality for tasks.
• Prepares and manages the project schedule and progress reports.
• Leads the submittal process to align with project schedule.
• Manages procurement logs and tracking of shop drawings and deliveries.
• Provides training and mentorship to others.
