Job summary

Honeywell Aerospace Tempe is seeking an experienced engineering project manager to lead cross-functional initiatives, ensuring design integrity and on-time delivery across Tempe product families.

You will act as design authority, coordinate suppliers and R&O/OEM factories, and drive risk mitigation while maintaining quality standards in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline such as science, technology, engineering, or mathematics.
  • 2+ years of experience in engineering project management within aerospace.
  • Knowledge of aerospace engineering principles and project management.
  • Knowledge of MS Office and aerospace quality standards like AS9100.
  • Experience in risk management, problem-solving, and coordinating cross-functional teams to achieve project goals.
  • Ability to maintain technical integrity and engineering intent, exercise independent technical judgment, and make sound engineering decisions.
  • U.S. person status: U.S. citizen, U.S. permanent resident, or protected status in the U.S. under asylum or refugee status.
  • Currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis.
  • Advanced degree in Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related fields.
  • Experience supporting complex aerospace projects with multidisciplinary teams.
  • Understanding of regulatory compliance and quality assurance in aerospace manufacturing.
  • Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Commitment to continuous improvement and innovation in engineering processes.

Responsibilities

  • Manage engineering projects contributing to the delivery and performance of Honeywell Aerospace Tempe product families.
  • Coordinate cross-functional teams and ensure project milestones are met.
  • Provide factory production design authority
  • Conduct fielded product investigations
  • Ensure product integrity as Design Authority for all Tempe product families
  • Manage quality issues in the field end to end
  • Support design integrity of supplier transitions
  • Act as a technical liaison supporting R&O and OEM factories in execution
  • Support risk assessment and mitigation activities to maintain project timelines and quality standards
  • Report to the Product Support Engineering Manager
