Job summary

Jobtailor seeks a seasoned Project Engineer/PM to lead complex aerospace engineering programs in the United States. You will define scopes with stakeholders, craft plans and budgets, and drive execution with cross-functional teams. Strong leadership and ITAR compliance are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Science or Engineering.
• Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience.
• 2 years experience in project engineering functions.
• Proven track record of delivering complex engineering projects on time and within budget.
• Compliance with U.S. Government ITAR requirements.
• Candidate must be a U.S. person: U.S. citizen, U.S. permanent resident, or protected asylum/refugee status in the U.S.

• Lead and manage complex engineering projects from initiation to completion
• Define project scope, objectives, and deliverables with stakeholders
• Develop and implement project plans, timelines, budgets, and resource allocation
• Manage project execution, escalations, and performance
• Develop and manage project schedules and milestones
• Develop and manage risks and opportunities
• Drive clear communications between technical leaders
• Optimize the team through procedural improvements and automation
• Drive software quotation estimates and approvals
• Facilitate teams toward solutions and agreement
• Drive and improve project engineering practices for Software groups
• Lead a software team assessing and driving program-specific performance across multiple parallel projects

Requirements

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Compliance with U.S. Government technology export regulations, including ITAR

• Travel up to 10% may be expected
• Business acumen in aerospace and the larger industry

• Significant experience in project planning and coordination, especially Platform Hardware/Software processes and practices
