Job summary

Jobtailor is seeking a leader to drive aerospace engineering programs from concept through completion. You will guide cross-functional teams, align requirements and schedules, and deliver high-quality solutions while pushing technical innovation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline (STEM)
• 5+ years in aerospace project engineering or systems engineering
• 1 year of inertial reference system development
• Experience with regulatory compliance and aerospace quality standards
• U.S. person required (citizenship/permanent residency/protected status)

Job description

Lead and manage advanced aerospace engineering projects from concept through completion
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define project requirements, schedules, and deliverables
Drive technical innovation and problem-solving to meet challenging aerospace engineering goals
Provide advanced engineering support for various projects and initiatives
Lead and manage a team of engineers
Ensure successful execution of engineering support activities and delivery of high-quality solutions
Report directly to the leadership team
Recruit talent, identify and develop successors, drive retention and engagement, and foster an inclusive culture

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution in a technical discipline such as science, technology, engineering, or mathematics
• 5+ years of experience in aerospace project engineering or related systems engineering roles
• 1 year of experience working inertial reference system development programs
• Strong knowledge of aerospace engineering principles, project management, and technical problem-solving
• Proficiency with aerospace design and project management tools
• Experience driving complex engineering projects to completion
• Experience with regulatory compliance and quality standards specific to the aerospace industry
• Experience leading cross-functional teams and managing large-scale aerospace projects
• Strong analytical skills and strategic thinking
• Familiarity with aerospace industry standards and emerging technologies
• Familiarity with the Commercial Navigation portfolio of IRU / AHRS / ADIRU products
• Must be a U.S. person: U.S. citizen, U.S. permanent resident, or have protected status in the U.S. under asylum or refugee status
