Job summary

GrayWolf is seeking a Project Engineer for Hallsville, TX to support heavy industrial construction projects on-site. You will interact with owners, engineers, field supervision and suppliers to plan work and resolve field issues, ensuring alignment with contract documents and budgets.

Qualifications

• BS degree in Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering, or Construction Management with 4+ years construction experience.
• Experience in industrial environments such as pulp & paper, chemical, power, or heavy industrial.
• Experience in scheduling, cost tracking, RFIs, take-offs/quantities, and estimating is key.
• OSHA 10/30 preferred but not required; NCCER preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, review, or validate project estimates, scopes of work, and contracts with owners, engineers, and estimators.
• Review design drawings and 3D BIM models for accuracy; resolve discrepancies with stakeholders.
• Provide field oversight to ensure installations meet documents, quality, schedule, and budget.
• Coordinate construction activities with Owners, Engineers, or OEMs; manage owner operations involvement.
• Organize detailing RFI process; manage documentation and logs with the engineer and general contractor.
• Monitor productivity, verify earned value for progress payments and contractor claims.
• Distribute and route drawings; coordinate with Document Control to avoid delays.
• Assist with Change Order Management and update project schedules and status reports.
• Serve as front-line technical liaison for Owners and Engineers; provide technical analysis to supervision.
